Poole Lifeboat launched to a report Kite surfer in difficulty.
Poole Lifeboat volunteers were tasked Thursday (November 23) at 13:30, the first report was that a Kite surfer had got into difficulty off Bournemouth Pier.
The lifeboat arrived on scene and searched the immediate area, then continued to search from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe Pier. After thoroughly searching the area and finding nothing untoward, the volunteers spoke to other Kite surfers and surfers who were in the area, they confirmed that the Kite Surfer that had been purported to be in difficulty had actually made it safely ashore.
Conditions out in Poole Bay were quite lively, with the wind south westerly 5 to 6, with confirmation that the casualty was safe, the lifeboat volunteers returned back to station, after refuelling the lifeboat was ready for service by 15.30
