Poole ILB Launched 22/05/18

Poole Inshore lifeboat was tasked by UK Coastguard at 21.15 (Tuesday May 22) to a report of a vessel broken down.
The 15ft speedboat with two people on-board had suffered engine failure shortly after launching from Lake Road. The stricken vessel had drifted with the falling tide with light fading they had managed to get alongside a moored yacht.
The lifeboat was soon on scene and checked that all was okay then attached a tow line and brought them safely back ashore to the slip way at Lake Road, where the Poole Coastguard were on hand to meet them.
The lifeboat returned back to station refuelled and was ready for service at 22.30. For volunteer Steve Porter this was his first shout in earnest as Helm, Well done Steve.
