Lifeboat Launched To Speedboat 29/09/18

Poole lifeboat was requested to launch by UK Coastguard at 4.30pm to a report of a 17ft speedboat with 4 people on-board that had broken down In Studland Bay (Saturday September 29)
The lifeboat was soon on scene and found the speed boat some 100 yards from the shore, its anchor was dragging and pushing them onto the shore. Conditions were fine, with a South Easterly breeze.
The lifeboat volunteers checked that the people on-board were okay and put a crew member on the vessel who connected a tow line, then the lifeboat brought the vessel safely back through Poole harbour to Baiter Slipway, where they had launched from.
The lifeboat returned back to station after refuelling was ready for service by 6.15pm.
