Poole Lifeboat Launched 24/10/18

Poole Lifeboat was tasked today (Oct 24) at 5.55pm to reports of a 31ft motorboat that had run aground near the entrance to Poole Harbour.
The lifeboat quickly arrived on-scene and found the vessel with two occupants aground just outside Royal Motor Yacht Club.
A volunteer crewmember was placed aboard to check all was well and that the vessel was not taking on any water. A towline was then attached and the vessel was towed gently to deeper water where the engines were able to be re-started.
The vessel made its own way up the harbour back to its berth in Holes Bay escorted by the lifeboat.
The lifeboat was re-fuelled and ready for service by 7:15pm.
