Visits Team 2018

In May the station formed a new volunteer visit team just prior to the opening of our new floating boathouse.

Headed up by Ali O’Neill (pictured left) as volunteer Lifeboat Visits Officer she has 11 others who give up their time to show people around and share their knowledge of the RNLI.

Since May they have conducted 44 tours and this week have welcomed the 500th person. The have hosted sea scouts, students, social clubs and families to name a few.

The tours are completely free but generous donations during these events have raised over £400 pounds for Poole Lifeboat Station. These 12 people are some of our unsung heroes on station and tell the tale of what goes on at sea.
